It has been a long time since there was a collection of Aretha Franklin sheet music. This new publication from Hal Leonard includes twenty hits by the Queen of Soul. When you hear the song “Respect” or “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman”, I bet you hear Aretha Franklin‘s voice in your head. She has been a very active artist since the 1960’s, and in 1987, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2014, she covered Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”, which debuted at 47 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. In so doing, Franklin became the first woman to have 100 songs on that chart. Welcome back to print music, Miss Franklin! I hope this isn’t the only book of your songs that we see!
