This one-inch thick book of 1,850 Irish melodiesResizeImageHandler.ashx is a library of tunes in one volume.  There are set dance tunes, which are tunes for a “set”, or group of dancers in couples, many of O’Carolan’s tunes, folk song tunes, and more.  The melody is laid out, ready to be played, embellished upon, or arranged by a group or soloist.  There are many familiar tunes; “The Minstrel Boy”, “The Bard of Armagh”, “Planxty Irwin”, reels, hornpipes, and more.  The words are not included, nor are there chords provided.  The melody is the main emphasis in this collection.
