Exciting New Music for Middle School Choirs!

With the all-too-brief warm-up in temperatures the past week or so, we’re hearing from our customers that their students already have “spring fever!”  Keep your middle-schoolers focused on music with these fun, new publications:

“I’m Goin’ There!” is a twist on the traditional spiritual “Wayfaring Stranger,” arranged by Greg Gilpin.  The mysterious, bluesy sound will keep students intrigued.  It was published last fall, but has been receiving a lot of attention for spring concerts.

Kids have always enjoyed the silly lyrics of the folksong “Old Joe Clark.”  Russ Robinson’s new arrangement spices it up with carefully placed syncopations that really freshen up this old standard.

Bring the house down at your spring concert with this Discovery Jazz Series arrangement of “Jump, Jive an’ Wail!”  Roger Emerson gives new life to the song made famous by Brian Setzer and his orchestra.  Your students will love singing it, your audience will love hearing it, and YOU will love the teaching opportunities in it!

For more information (or for more great recommendations!), give us a call at 1-800-42-MUSIC, and ask to speak to a choral department representative. Shop Stanton’s for all your sheet music needs!
