“Won’t You Be My Neighbor?”

Celebrate the classic PBS television series “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” with Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, a choral suite of his much loved songs in colorful settings for high school through adult ensembles! Highly entertaining (and sure to bring a smile to every face!), it includes: “It’s Such a Good Feeling,” “It’s You I Like,” “What Do You Do?,” and “Won’t You Be My Neighbor (It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood).”

  1. …And for those with solid jazz band programs, check out Mike Tomaro’s smokin’ big band arrangement (cat. # 07010929). It’s styled as a samba, but also works as a swing chart.

On a trivia note: Mr. Rogers was a native of Pittsburgh, PA, and his program was filmed at the WQED studios in Oakland (near Univ. of PIttsburgh). Mike Tomaro is also a Pittsburgh native, and after serving with the U.S. Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, returned to the ‘Burgh where he has been the director of jazz studies at Duquesne University since the late ’90′s.
