Feedback Friday: Our state fair is a great state fair…
The Ohio State Fair opened this week here in Columbus and will run through August 9th! Each year, thousands of visitors flock to the fair for rides, food, competitions, and unique booths and displays. Of course, here at Stanton’s, we’re most excited about the music line-up; in addition to the big acts in the Celeste Center, there are also smaller stages and roving musicians and entertainers throughout the fairgrounds.

Tweet, Tweet, Tweet…
No, it’s not another bird wandering into the building, it’s the next step for Stanton’s Sheet Music in social networking!
With today’s busy world of instant updates, what better way than Twitter to find out what’s happening at Stanton’s? Of course, when we have a lot to say we still use the blog, but the tweets can be a good source of entertainment relative to our world of sheet music. With only 140 characters per tweet, we’ll be brief, light-hearted and fun. For those of you who use Twitter already, you understand some of the benefits. For those of you who don’t use Twitter yet, you’ll find a community of people that you never would have been able to get in touch with before.
Stanton’s knows networking is huge these days–it’s our way of being connected to you and vice-versa. So join our following by logging in and searching StantonsMusic in the search engine.
Reminder: Sacred Choral Reading Session!

Your registration will include a packet of over 40 new choral anthems that are hand-picked from the hundreds of new anthems we receive each year. Joseph Martin is also a supremely skilled pianist, and will host a free Sacred Piano Clinic in our store in the afternoon following the morning choral clinic. Come listen to the best new publications for church and home as played by a master.

Request Your “21 Day Trial” TODAY!
Did you know that you can preview music from Stanton’s before you decide to buy? We know that it’s difficult to tell if a particular piece of music will fit your needs without actually reading it through, so similar to checking things out from a library, you can “borrow” resources from our store using the “21 Day Trial” program!
Each of Stanton’s departments has slightly different guidelines about what/how many items can be sent on “21 Day Trial,” but in general we can send printed sheet music that is currently in stock. You can request items for trial by phone, email, fax, online or in person—any of the ways that you can place a regular order—but make sure that you specify “21 Day Trial.” You can list the music you’d like to peruse, or you can give us some specifications (like “Christmas piano solos,” “SSA choral music on the theme of friendship,” or “new publications for 8th grade jazz band”) and Stanton’s knowledgeable staff will find some suggestions for you!
We require account or credit card information so that if you choose to keep the music we can charge you accordingly, or return the music within 21 days of your invoice date and you’ll never be charged! (You’ll just have to pay return shipping to get the music back to us.)
Contact us NOW in July when we have more time to spend considering your unique trial request. When all the other teachers are dragging themselves into the store first thing in the morning on a Saturday in August or September, you’ll continue to sleep soundly knowing that you’ve already received a package of music, specifically chosen for you, that will be waiting whenever you choose to wake up and read through it…
Pink Floyd: The Wall
On July 21st 1990, Pink Floyd resurrected their highly successful Wall Tour of the 1980’s and staged a spectacular show on the ruins of the Berlin Wall. The tenured rock group performed for an estimated 400,000 people. Also, the show was broadcast in 35 countries where an additional 500 million people were estimated to have watched the groundbreaking event.
Pink Floyd is a British progressive rock band who began their career in 1965. The albums “Dark Side of the Moon” and “The Wall” have remained among the most highly praised and top selling presses of all time by critics and fans alike.
Here at Stanton’s Sheet Music, you are able to purchase much of the explosive and innovative music that this astounding band has given to the world of music. Guitar Tab and Piano/vocal editions of “Dark Side of the Moon” are available for order, as are several other sheet music editions of Pink Floyd’s music. The Pink Floyd Anthology includes some of the greatest songs written over the long and prosperous career of perhaps one of the greatest musical ensembles of the 20th century.
For more information about music from Pink Floyd or any other items, please contact Stanton’s Sheet Music at 1-800-42-MUSIC.
